Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery at Margaret Dabbs, Marylebone
Alongside longtime collaborator, photographer and body painter Emma Hack, Rebecca Hossack Gallery introduces Chantal de Gaudio, an artist inspired by growth, fecundity and transformation. Taking her inspiration from flowers, she is fascinated by the alchemy of the masculine and feminine and how the two dance together to create a whole. De Gaudio paints using resolutely domestic, arguably masculine materials; Masonite and gloss house paints are used to render luscious floral landscapes.

Exhibition — Affordable Art Fair, Battersea

Exhibition — I Allow
Blossoming expressions of the mature feminine. A collection of paintings, photography and ceramics by Chantal De Gaudio. In ‘I Allow,’ artist De Gaudio has given herself permission to get out of her own way, thereby creating an expression of her healing experience. Inspired by a difficult childhood and a deep desire to become well, De Gaudio has for many years now been curious about how a person grows and develops to become the best version of themselves. Through her creativity and the three different media De Gaudio is able to express the energy and desire for beauty that she holds inside. The order and beauty of the natural world has helped De Gaudio focus and express her creativity, making art that moves and energetically inspires. Drawn to art that emits a positive energy, De Gaudio’s goal is to convey the healing power of beauty.

The Big Egg Hunt Sketch
This is the winning design for The Big Egg Hunt!
This will be an egg with ribbons flying out of it. I have no idea how I’m going to make it, but I’m very excited! I wonder where it will be positioned in London?!
We’ll have to wait and see.
The Big Egg Hunt
I’ve been asked to create some egg designs to participate in the The Big Egg Hunt around London next year. I’ve submitted around six ideas, now I’m just waiting to see if they like any of them!!! Fingers crossed.
New Studio!
I have moved into Great Western Studios.
Over the last 10 years, I kept asking myself that if I were to be on my death bed, would I regret not making anymore artwork and the answer was always yes.
Finally I'm here, I am home.
How exciting, now I have a space of my own to create in, what a luxury, how lucky I am.
